Below are some of the things that HDRC Southampton have achieved so far.
Team and governance
We have built a solid structure to guide our work and ensure accountability:
- Established a dedicated Leadership Team
- Formed a Steering Group to provide strategic direction
- Set up a Public Involvement and Community Engagement to champion community voices
- Developing our Research Governance Framework to underpin our activities
Planning and strategy
We have developed key plans and tools needed to deliver meaningful change:
- Created a comprehensive communications plan to support effective engagement
- Developed a Culture Change Plan to support long-term transformation
- Completed a Learning Needs Analysis to identify development priorities
- Designed a Public Involvement and Community Engagement Plan to strengthen involvement, inclusion, and engagement
- Building our Data Warehouse to centralise data and enable linkages
Collaboration and engagement
We are connecting people, ideas and communities:
- Created an Internal SharePoint to share resources
- Partnership Forum hosted to strengthen relationships and foster joint working
- Delivered a Priority Setting Event in Southampton to identify local priority issues
- Actively involved young people to ensure their voices and priorities are heard
- Developed a transparent Priority Setting Methodology
Evidence and impact
We are turning our activities into action and building the evidence base needed for better decisions on the building blocks of health:
- Internal Support Service to support staff in service evaluation and evidence use
- Conducted a series of Evidence Reviews
- Developing an Open Access Evidence Repository to enable shared learning and provide easy access to high-quality evidence.
- Fly-tipping chalk stencilling intervention launched testing community-led solutions
- Next gen researchers launched to empower young people to become researchers
- Developed an Evaluation Framework to our measure progress and impact
