Cost of living survey

Southampton City Council conducted a survey with residents of Southampton on the Cost of Living. The aim was to understand residents’ views and situations on a variety of topics, including heating the home, food habits, financial situations and personal well-being.

The results of this survey will help to gather views and baseline around the current Cost of Living crisis, to baseline against the Office of National Statistics (ONS) Opinions and Lifestyle survey and gather more insight on food insecurity across the city.

Survey fieldwork ran between 16 January and 05 February 2023.
